
The first batch of undergraduate graduates of materials science and engineering major have achieved excellent results in postgraduate entrance examination
With the announcement of the national line for the national postgraduate entrance examination in 2025, the first graduates of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in our college have been reporting good news on the battlefield of postgraduate entrance examination, showing their students' style and professional prospects with excellent results!
Among the 48 graduates this time, 30 have taken the postgraduate entrance exam, and 21 have exceeded the national line, with a pass rate as high as 70%. Notably, several students have also been admitted to prestigious international institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This achievement not only highlights the significant success of our college's teaching, student affairs, and internationalization efforts but also reflects the relentless spirit of dedication of our materials science students. We sincerely wish all those who have passed the line to continue their best in the upcoming interviews and secure admission offers from their desired institutions.
Materials science is one of the two leading disciplines in our university that entered the top 1% globally according to ESI (2024). Our Department of Materials Science and Engineering has always been dedicated to the research and development of new materials, with research areas covering advanced semiconductors, energy materials, additive manufacturing, and other strategic national needs. This provides students with a broad platform for development and high-quality research resources.
